RDC IX donates relief goods to Sendong victims in Iligan City

To extend help to the victims of the tropical storm Sendong in Iligan City, the Regional Development Council (RDC) IX donated relief goods on December 24, 2011.
The RDC IX Chairman, Mayor Evelyn Uy expressed through a communication dated December 20, 2011 addressed to the RDC X Chairman and City Mayor of Iligan, Hon. Lawrence Ll. Cruz, the condolences of RDC IX to the Typhoon Sendong victims and also informed him regarding the donation.
As the RDC IX Secretariat, volunteer employees from the National Economic and Development Authority IX spearheaded the delivery of the said goods that  were personally accepted by Mayor Cruz.
Roughly, P100,000 worth of goods were delivered that included bottled mineral water, blankets, assorted canned goods, and first-aid medicines.
Tropical storm Sendong hit the Philippines last December 16, 2011 that resulted to over 1,000 deaths including residents from Iligan City. (Ardi Abril T. Layugue, NEDA IX)
